The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is very apt to spread discontent among those who are.
I shared an article from Anti Media on my Facebook a few days ago along with an emotional response to said article. As expected, no one touched it; it was political (eek!), emotional (eww.), and aggressive (arrrgh!). While I knew it wasn’t very likely that anyone would want to speak up, or out, or even with vehement disagreement, I still felt the pains of disappointment. It left me wondering if silence in the face of outrageous injustice, is just as violent as the heinous crimes I’m yelling about.
I’ve been told in the past that I’m hard to approach, abrasive, and I leave little room for anyone else’s opinion once convinced of my own. While all those things are true to some degree, most of the negative criticism I receive comes from people who’ve never bothered to educate themselves outside of their government approved sources for news and historical events. My intentions aren’t to make people uncomfortable, there are elected officials for that kind of abuse. No, my intention is to inform, educate, and like Mencken said, spread discontent among the complaint, or otherwise apathetic masses.
We live in such interesting, and technologically remarkable times. Humans have made it to the stars, and we’re talking about transhumanism, the chance for immortality, but I’m afraid of the future, which is a real shame. Isn’t the future of us all worth getting fired up about? American’s are afraid of N. Korea and their frequent bomb threats; don’t you think the people of Yemen or Iran felt that way when they heard America would be dropping in? It was only when the corruption became irrefutable that the mainstream media decided it was worth talking about. Investing in pricey commercial ads on YouTube, questioning the legitimacy of a 16year war, doesn’t redeem your credibility as a new source. The real journalists of our time are the people YouTube actively sensors, marking them as “Fake News,” and propaganda. Never mind proof or anything for these smear campaigns against alternative media, it’s just fake. Believe us, despite the numerous times we’ve been caught falsifying news and staging events (CNN, we’re talking about you).
The only threat American’s has experienced in recent years comes from within its own ranks, while everyone else involved was given a Presidential invitation, and Congress backed financing. Isn’t it ironic that a great deal of American’s don’t want to be associated with those other Americans that give everyone else a bad name, but that request was hardly afforded to anyone who looked remotely Muslims or Islamic after 9/11.
“I’m an American! It’s my God Given Right.” This little phrase is imbued with magical fucking powers that suddenly make what you’re about to say, or do OK because God loves America, and no one else. The compassion expected by certain self-entitled parties has never been extended to any one that didn’t look, act, and speak like them.
I often struggle finding peace within myself, and that is the only way you can truly act with kindness; by being peaceful. It’s so hard to feel peace when your heart is aching for the innocent people dead at the hands of the last three Presidents or more, with the aid of our tax dollars. Trillions “lost”, and unaccounted for, but if you the U.S citizen refuse to pay, you’re a traitor to the nation, and deserve to go to prison. Prison is where rapist, killers, and pedophiles go, and tax evaders are equally as bad as those people, apparently. This is wrong! I can’t believe that needs to be said. You don’t have a choice about these wars (plural), hell, the average American has no idea how many countries are being bombed to date!
I understand why political discussions make everyone uncomfortable, and immediately set your teeth on edge. Conflict isn’t fun. Only ignorant assholes thrive off conflict. War is some rich mans game. How many rich people (before BTC) do you know? They own governments like the Monarchy of old, so what really has changed?
Take back the power. Be weird. Be free. Live peacefully.
We cannot be divided.
This strange human is for every human.
